Temporary Grounding Seminar (Hubbell)

This 51-minute video is a presentation on personal protective grounding by Lonnie Bell, hot line tools specialist and demonstrator. Part I explains that small amounts of current will harm to man, and stress the importance of protection to eliminate or reduce current flow through a worker. Several grounding techniques used in the past are illustrated and compared. Part II shows how to select grounding clamps and conductors. Rare footage shows how high-current ground faults cause conductors to jump around. Lonnie demonstrates step-by-step procedures for installing equipotential grounding equipment, using a model of a three-phase line. (Courtesy Hubbell)
